About the Artist
Mario Carpe
Mario was born in Cádiz, Spain, a southern paradise surrounded by sun, sea, seagulls, and jokes, in 1986. Right after weaning, his grandmother placed a pencil in his hand, and grew up scribbling in the kitchen – sometimes on the walls – while his mother cooked dishes of unique flavours. His aunts collected drawings and his grandfather asked “Does the kid keep drawing?”.
He obtained a double degree in Law and Business Administration at the Charles III University of Madrid and, afterwards, he converted into an earthling who helps brands, and human beings impact their audience through bold visual solutions. His work is conceptual and eclectic, always in constant evolution, pushing out stereotypes and definitions, believing that design can be artsy and art can be designed to create unique outputs.
Although Mario has never been focused on awards, his work has been recognised on different occasions. He accepts them because somehow they gave him the energy to start his creative career.
Artwork Specification
Printing
Our artworks are giclée printed with up to 12 unique, pigment-based inks on thick, 200gsm, museum-quality, matte paper. Giclée printing offers superior colour accuracy, greater tonal range, and sharper detail. You won't find the same vibrancy and quality elsewhere.
Framing
Our hardwood frames are available in black, white and a natural wood finish. Made to order, each frame is hand-crafted with a sheet of gallery-grade, UV-protected, shatterproof acrylic. We seal our frames to prolong the life of the artwork. An East Side Studio London archival print will last for upwards of 100 years
Mounts
Our mounts are bevel-cut from bright white mount board. Artworks 12" x 16" or larger come with a 2" mount and artworks smaller than 12" x 16" come with a 1.5" mount.
