Chloe Shao

Chloe Shao, an independent digital artist based in Melbourne. Her venture into digital painting began in 2019, influenced by her childhood experience of constant visit to hospital to visit her mother who worked as a dental hospital nurse, which sparked her interest in science and inspired her to create human anatomy illustrations.

Having to relocate to Australia at a young age, Chloe developed a heightened sense of observation towards her surroundings, struggling to reconcile her identities as both Chinese and Australian, she found solace and expression through blending the east and west elements in her art.

She seeks to navigate the fast paced, information saturated world while offering a safe space to the kindred spirits who may feel alone.
