12 x 8 (8 x 12) Picture Frames
In the UK, these frames hold artwork measuring 20 × 30cm. In the US, the same frame is sold as 12 x 8 inch (8 x 12), holding a 20.3 × 30.5cm picture. It's the 2:3 shape of most camera photos, so it's perfect for photography prints without cropping, as well as slim posters and illustrations.
Add a mount for these frames to frame a smaller print with a border. Compare 20 × 25cm (8×10in), 30 × 45cm (12×18in), the next 2:3 size up, and A4. This size suits our white and thin frames.

What size is a 20 x 30 cm frame?
In the UK, it holds a 20 × 30 cm picture. The outside is bigger by the moulding width, for example about 27 × 37 cm with a 35 mm moulding.
Is 20 x 30 cm the same as 12 x 8 inches?
Nearly, but not exactly. 12 x 8 inches is 20.3 × 30.5 cm, a few millimetres bigger. In the UK we make this frame at 20 × 30 cm, and in the US at 12 x 8 inches. If your print is in exact inches, measure it, and choose made to measure if it's larger than 20 × 30 cm.
What fits in a 20 x 30 cm frame?
A 20 × 30 cm picture fits exactly. With a mount, an A5 print (about 2.6 cm at the sides and 4.5 cm top and bottom) or a 6x4 photo (about 4.9 cm at the sides and 7.4 cm top and bottom).
