What sizes can you make for custom picture frames?
We can make just about any size frame you need. The smallest frame we can make is 89mm x 89mm and the largest is 915mm x 1220mm.
Enter exact measurements in mm or choose from popular sizes. We cut every frame to order for a precise fit.
Can you make frames for non-standard ratios and panoramic prints?
Absolutely. Enter your exact dimensions and we’ll build to fit. Our configurator supports long panoramic and uncommon formats.
What’s the difference between your different paper options?
Archival Matte – 200gsm (Most popular)
- Finish: Smooth, true matte (no sheen).
- Look/feel: Clean, modern; crisp lines.
- Best for: Just about everything.
- Why pick it: Versatile, great value, zero glare under glass.
Epson Premium Luster Photo – 260gsm
- Finish: Semi-gloss “photo lab” surface.
- Look/feel: Punchy colours, deep blacks, subtle texture.
- Best for: Photography and detailed digital art where you want a photographic feel.
- Why pick it: Vibrant and sharp without the full glare of gloss.
Hahnemühle German Etching – 310gsm

How do I measure my artwork for a perfect fit?
Measure the exact image or paper size edge-to-edge. This is what you should input into the frame designer.
If you’re framing without a mount, we allow a small (~7mm) rebate overlap on each side, to hold the artwork securely. Please account for this in your design. Details on the very edge of your artwork may be cropped.
If adding a mount, we make the window slightly smaller so the edges overlap by 5mm. This helps to hold the artwork in place. Again, details on the very edge of your artwork may be cropped.
Can you print my artwork and frame it?
Yes! You can upload a high-resolution file and we’ll print it on museum-grade fine art paper, and frame it so it arrives ready to hang.
What file types and resolution do you accept?
We accept JPG and PNG. Aim for 300 dpi at the final print size (we advise a minimum of 200 dpi). Our custom frame designer tool will tell you if your file quality is suitable for the specific frame you're creating.
We accept no responsibility for the resulting print quality if the artworks supplied are low resolution/DPI or have been scaled up beyond their original size.
What happens if my upload isn’t large enough for the size I want?
In this case we recommend reducing the size of your frame, or adding a mount to keep the artwork smaller within a larger frame.
What is a mount (mat) and should I add one?
A mount is the border that sits between your artwork and the frame. It creates breathing space, prevents the image touching the glaze, and gives an elevated gallery look.
Choose a bespoke mount width or go borderless.
How will my order arrive?
Framed Artworks
If you upload your artwork for printing, we will frame it for you and deliver it ready to hang. The back of the frame will be sealed to prevent dust and debris from entering over time.
Frame Only
Frame only orders will be delivered with the backing board in place. We place flexible tabs at the back of the frame, allowing you to open it up and position the artwork yourself. The hanging mechanism is provided.
Frame + Mount Only
Frame + mount only orders will be delivered with your mount placed inside the frame. We place flexible tabs at the back of the frame, allowing you to open it up and position the artwork yourself. The hanging mechanism is provided.
How long do custom picture frames take to ship?
As everything is made to order, please allow 5 working days for us to create your frame.
Need your picture frame sooner? We'll ship it the next working day if you select priority shipping at checkout.
Are your frames and mounts conservation-grade?
Yes. Our frames are built from responsibly sourced wood; mounts and backers are acid-free to help protect your artwork over time.
What if my frame arrives damaged?
Send us some photos of the damage and we will send you a free replacement, no questions asked.
Do you accept returns?
No, as our custom frames are made bespoke for you we don't accept any returns.
