Measuring Your Artwork & Frame
1. Before ordering, it’s worth double-checking your measurements. Measure the full width and height of your artwork, as this is the size the mount window is designed to hold. The window is cut slightly smaller than the artwork so it sits securely behind the mount board. This mount will be made to fit an artwork measuring 30 × 40 cm.
2. You should also measure your frame’s internal opening at the back. For this mount, the frame opening should be A3 Plus (329 × 483mm).
3. If your artwork turns out to be a different size, you can create a perfectly fitted mount using our Custom Mount Designer, where you can enter your exact artwork and frame measurements.

What is a mount (mat) and do I need one?
A mount is the border that sits between your artwork and the frame. It creates breathing space, prevents the image touching the glaze, and gives an elevated gallery look.
How do I know my artwork will fit?
We make the window slightly smaller so the edges overlap by 5mm. This helps to hold the artwork in place. Details on the very edge of your artwork may be cropped.
How will my order arrive?
Our mounts are carefully sandwiched between barrier boards for shipment. They will arrive in an envelope or box, depending on the size.
Are your mounts conservation-grade?
Yes. Our mounts and backers are acid-free to help protect your artwork over time.
What if my mount arrives damaged?
Send us some photos of the damage and we will send you a free replacement, no questions asked.
Do you accept returns?
No, as our mounts are made bespoke for you we don't accept any returns.
