Chloe Shao

Chloe Shao is an independent digital artist based in Melbourne. Her venture into digital painting began in 2019, influenced by her childhood experiences of frequent visits to the hospital to see her mother, who worked as a dental hospital nurse. This sparked her interest in science and inspired her to create illustrations of human anatomy.

Having relocated to Australia at a young age, Chloe developed a heightened sense of observation towards her surroundings. Struggling to reconcile her identities as both Chinese and Australian, she found solace and expression through blending Eastern and Western elements in her art.

She seeks to navigate the fast-paced, information-saturated world while offering a safe space to kindred spirits who may feel alone.
