About the Artist
Aaron Borchardt
Aaron is a digital mixed-media artist whose work explores the intersection of photography, glitch aesthetics, and abstraction. Drawing inspiration from contemporary digital artists such as Filipe Pantone and the ethereal landscapes of Georg Guðni, Aaron’s work merges the structured precision of digital manipulation with the organic unpredictability of artistic destruction.
Through his intricate process, he distorts and deconstructs photographic imagery, transforming it into fragmented compositions that challenge traditional visual representation. His glitch art explores the relationship between digital media and real-world experiences. By corrupting images, he obscures narratives, inviting interpretation.
Starting with his photography, he pushes subjects to the edge of unrecognizability, embracing digital degradation as both method and philosophy. His work balances control and randomness, precision and disruption, revealing beauty within distortion.
Artwork Specification
Printing
Our artworks are giclée printed with up to 12 unique, pigment-based inks on thick, 200gsm, museum-quality, matte paper. Giclée printing offers superior colour accuracy, greater tonal range, and sharper detail. You won't find the same vibrancy and quality elsewhere.
Framing
Our hardwood frames are available in black, white and a natural wood finish. Made to order, each frame is hand-crafted with a sheet of gallery-grade, UV-protected, shatterproof acrylic. We seal our frames to prolong the life of the artwork. An East Side Studio London archival print will last for upwards of 100 years.
Mounts
Our mounts are bevel-cut from bright white mount board. Artworks 12" x 16" or larger come with a 2" mount and artworks smaller than 12" x 16" come with a 1.5" mount. Note that only specific artworks have the option to add a mount.
Sizing
If you're in the UK or EU, your order will be printed in metric sizes (e.g. 20" x 28" becomes 50cm x 70cm). In the US or Australia, we use inches. If you're using your own frame, just make sure the sizing matches your region. You can check all size conversions here.
Shipping and Returns
Delivery & Shipping
