Gallery Wall Planner
Plan your gallery wall with real picture frames and canvas tray frames, drawn to true size. Add your own photos, try the layout generator, then see your design on your own wall in AR before you drill a single hole. All of our frames are available to buy in the UK.

Every frame in the planner is one we make: painted, stained and natural wood picture frames, plus canvas tray frames for stretched canvas. Each is drawn at its real outside size, so a 50 x 70 cm print looks exactly as big as it will on your wall.
Mix colours and finishes, set the gaps you want and see the overall width and height of the group as you go.

When you're happy with your layout, tap See It In Your Space and scan the code with your phone. The whole planned gallery appears on your own wall at real size, so you can check it against your sofa, sideboard or bed before you order.
Works with recent iPhones and most Android phones.

Gaps: 50 to 80 mm between frames is a good starting point. The planner starts at 60 mm.
Height: hang the centre of the group about 145 to 150 cm from the floor, or about 20 cm above furniture.
Width: above a sofa or sideboard, a group around two thirds of the furniture's width usually looks balanced.
Always check measurements and your frames' fixings before drilling.

Gallery wall planning questions
Is there a free gallery wall planner with AR?
Yes. Our gallery wall planner is free, with no sign-up. Arrange real picture frames and canvas tray frames, add your own photos, and see the whole planned gallery on your own wall in AR using a compatible phone. Planning is available worldwide; in the UK, you can buy the frames together in a single cart, made to order in the UK.
Is there an app to plan a gallery wall?
Yes. This free web planner runs in your browser with no sign-up or separate app download. Picture frames and canvas tray frames are drawn to true size in the planner. Add your own photos, compare layouts with exact sizes and gaps, and preview the group in AR on a compatible phone.
Can I use the planner on my phone?
The planner is designed for bigger screens, so open it on a laptop, desktop or tablet to arrange your frames. Your phone comes in at the end: scan the code from See It In Your Space to see the finished gallery on your wall in AR.
How do I plan a gallery wall layout?
Choose your frame sizes, add your own photos, try a generated layout and adjust the positions and gaps. Check the overall dimensions, preview the whole gallery on your own wall in AR, then save and share your design. Check measurements and the actual frame fixings before drilling. UK customers can buy every frame in the layout in one go through a single cart.
What is the rule for gallery walls?
There is no single fixed rule. Keep spacing consistent, balance the arrangement around a centre and check that the group fits the wall and surrounding furniture. The planner helps you compare layouts rather than imposing one rule.
What is the 2/3 rule for wall art?
It is a design guideline: a group of wall art above furniture often looks balanced at around two-thirds of the furniture's width. It is not a requirement; measure your space and leave comfortable margins.
What size gaps should a gallery wall have?
A useful starting range is 50–80 mm between frames. Our planner defaults to 60 mm, and you can adjust the gaps to suit your arrangement.
How high should a gallery wall hang?
A common starting point is to place the centre of the group about 145–150 cm from the floor. Adjust for furniture, ceiling height and the people using the room.
